A specialist SEN school in Peterlee is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition and communication needs.

Main Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils within lessons and structured activities
- Encouraging communication and independence
- Supporting sensory regulation strategies
- Assisting with emotional and behavioural support
- Working collaboratively with the wider SEN team
The successful candidate will
- Have SEN or care experience desirable
- Be patient, adaptable and resilient
- Have strong interpersonal skills
- Be passionate about supporting children with Autism
Compensation & Employment Conditions
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
