A well-established and growing provider of supported accommodation for young people is looking to appoint a Service Area Manager to oversee two homes within the same region.

The Role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and oversight of two supported accommodation homes, ensuring both services deliver safe, structured, and outcome-focused support. You’ll play a central role in setting standards, developing your teams, and ensuring each young person has a clear and meaningful plan to progress towards independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the daily running of two supported accommodation services
  • Act as safeguarding lead, managing risk, incidents, and decision-making
  • Line manage and develop staff through supervision, coaching, and performance management
  • Ensure high-quality support plans, risk assessments, and record keeping
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external professionals and stakeholders
  • Drive quality assurance, audits, and continuous improvement
  • Oversee staffing, rotas, training, and service performance
  • Promote independence, engagement, and positive outcomes for young people
  • Maintain consistent standards and culture across both services

About You

Essential:

  • Experience managing or deputising within supported accommodation, semi-independent, or similar young people’s services
  • Strong safeguarding knowledge and confidence in decision-making
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or working towards)
  • Proven ability to lead teams and improve service quality
  • Organised and confident with compliance and reporting

Salary & Benefits

  • Basic salary: £42,500 – £47,500 per year (depending on experience)
  • First year potential package: up to £52,750
  • Ongoing annual potential package: up to £50,500
  • Ofsted bonus: up to £3,000 per year
    • £1,500 if Ofsted rating is maintained at Good
    • £3,000 if Ofsted rating is maintained at Outstanding
  • Signing-on bonus:
    • Candidates working towards Level 5: £500 after 3 months, £750 after 6 months
    • Candidates with previous registration/Level 5: £750 after 3 months, £1,500 after 6 months
