Road Barrier Assistant (School Street Scheme)

Fixed Term to July 2026. Term-Time. Part Time 8 hours 20 minutes per week, Monday to Friday 8.20am-9.05am and 2.55pm-3.50pm

Join our team as a Road Barrier Assistant and play a vital role in keeping our school community safe. You’ll be setting up, managing, and removing road barriers before and after school as part of the innovative School Street Scheme, directly contributing to the wellbeing of our students and neighbours. This hands‑on role is perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoors and making a real difference every day.

Responsibilities

• Set up road barriers before school
• Manage road barriers during school hours
• Remove road barriers after school
• Assist with transportation and placement of barriers

• A good communicator.
• Able to relate well to, and work positively and effectively with, children and young people.
• Able to lift heavy barrier equipment and transport it to its location.
• Self‑motivated and hardworking.
