Job Overview
Equans is looking for a Catering Supervisor to be based at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, EH16 4SA. This is a permanent full‑time role working 37.5 hours per week. The offer includes a salary of £31,511 per annum plus a benefits package.
Shift Pattern
Working 5 days out of 7, including 2 weekends a month, 6am‑7pm.
Responsibilities
The Catering Supervisor will be responsible for the provision of a safe and timely catering food service and the supervision of both patient catering and retail catering teams at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
Requirements
- Strong background and work experience in Catering management.
- Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, people management, and a collaborative management style.
- Budget development and oversight experience.
- Commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace.
- Ability to operate in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.
- Open to direction and commitment to get the job done.
- Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organisation.
- Ability to look at situations from several points of view.
- Persuasive with details and facts.
- Delegate responsibilities effectively.

- Proof of BPSS level vetting and DBS clearance.
