249728 (KMc) Domestic Assistant

Overview

The purpose of this post: Responsible for providing a range of domestic services within Clinical / Non Clinical Departments throughout all areas of the Hospitals and Health Centres ensuring compliance with quality standards, Health & Safety, control of infection, Audit Scotland and HAI task force requirements, National Cleaning Services Specification and other requirements as specified by the Division.

Responsibilities

• Provide a range of domestic services across Clinical and Non-Clinical Departments in all areas of Hospitals and Health Centres.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, Health & Safety, infection control, Audit Scotland and HAI task force requirements, National Cleaning Services Specification, and other division requirements.
• Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures and maintain high cleanliness and safety standards.
• Work shifts as specified: MON-THURS 07:30-15:00; FRI 07:30-14:32.

Experience/Requirements

• Proven ability to perform domestic services within hospital or similar settings.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently as required.
• Flexible and reliable with a proactive approach to quality and safety.
• To work in the United Kingdom, demonstrate the relevant permission to work in the country (UK Visa and Immigration Service requirements).
• This post requires PVG Scheme membership/record. If not current, an application to Disclosure Scotland will be required before starting, for the relevant regulatory group (child and/or adult).
• Due to legislative changes from 1 April 2025, this post may require a different level of criminal records check. If the post is a “regulated role”, appointment is subject to joining the PVG Scheme. Details will be confirmed by Hiring Manager or Recruitment Team.
