Equity Capital Markets Associate (1–2 PQE) | London | Elite US Law Firm | Cravath Compensation

We are currently working with an elite US law firm in London that is looking to hire a junior Equity Capital Markets Associate (1–2 PQE) into its highly regarded Capital Markets practice.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a lawyer looking to build a market-leading ECM practice within one of the most internationally recognised capital markets teams in the world.

The team has advised on a number of the most significant and innovative equity transactions in recent years, including landmark London IPOs, dual listings, SPAC and de-SPAC transactions, and cross-border offerings involving issuers across Europe, the Middle East and emerging markets.

Recent matters have included:

• Advising the National Investment Fund of the Republic of Uzbekistan on its landmark IPO and dual listing on the London Stock Exchange and Tashkent Stock Exchange.

• Advising Canal+ on its London Stock Exchange listing following its spin-off from Vivendi.

• Advising Samsung on its direct listing of GDRs on the London Stock Exchange.

• Advising on one of the first London-listed de-SPAC transactions completed under the FCA’s new SPAC regime.

• Advising investors on major cross-border equity financings involving London-listed vehicles.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

• Work on complex UK, European and US securities law matters, including SEC-registered offerings and Rule 144A transactions.

• Gain exposure to both equity and debt capital markets work, including investment grade and high-yield offerings.

• Join a genuinely integrated capital markets practice where UK, European and US securities lawyers work as one team rather than separate silos.

• Benefit from direct access to highly experienced partners and a lean team structure that offers significant responsibility from an early stage.

• Work on transactions involving leading issuers, financial institutions and sponsors from across the globe.

• Receive Cravath-scale compensation and market-leading benefits.

Candidate Requirements

• England & Wales qualified solicitor.

• 1–2 years’ PQE gained at a leading UK, US or international law firm.

• Strong experience advising on equity capital markets transactions.

• Excellent academic credentials and technical ability.

• An interest in developing a broad international capital markets practice.

This is a rare opportunity to join one of the premier ECM teams in London at a time when high-quality junior capital markets associates remain in strong demand.
