Our onboarding process starts with a friendly conversation. All our engineers are to have their own insurance and to have their equipment calibrated at least once a year. In return, along with our engineer handbook, contract for services and branded clothing, we supply labels and technical support.

JR PAT Testing is an expanding PAT and compliance company currently looking for engineers to join our team in Hounslow. We offer self‑employed positions with flexible hours, allowing interested individuals to work either part‑time or full‑time.

Typical Day for a PAT Engineer
As a PAT engineer, each day brings new locations and challenges—from hospitals to retail outlets. You begin by packing all required tools and equipment into the van. On site, you conduct tests on appliances such as microwaves, kettles, and computers, ensuring they meet safety standards. Results and explanations are communicated to users, and detailed reports are recorded in a dedicated test report book or electronic system. Throughout the day, you maintain organization, manage paperwork, and travel between sites efficiently.
