Overview

The Chief Accounts Clerk will coordinate finance administration services within the Faculty, supporting the management of Faculty finances. This full‑time role (1.0 FTE) reports to the Finance Manager and supports the Finance Coordinator and Deputy Finance Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the Faculty finance team (Grade 6, 4 and 3 accounts clerks) to ensure consistent, professional service delivery.
  • Receive and check up to 5,000 invoices, expense claims and 1,000 purchase orders per year, raising and monitoring payment forms.
  • Coordinate routine monthly reporting to principal investigators and budget holders across the Faculty.
  • Act as a key contact point for queries from budget holders and department administrators.
  • Monitor and improve finance processes and procedures.

Qualifications

HND/HNC, level 4/5 vocational qualification or equivalent practical experience. Experience in university finance or related environment preferred.
