Forklift Operator

My client is a world leading manufacturer based in Inchinnan, one of the most respected Scientific Research and Development Manufacturers in the industry, who give their people the resources and opportunities to make significant contributions to the world.

They are now looking for new members of staff to join their Manufacturing Facility environment. Initially a long-term temporary position but with a view that after successfully completing training and probation the position will become permanent.

Position Details

• Pay £13.86 per hour
• Temp to Perm
• Working day 8 hours (8am – 4pm or 9am – 5pm)
• Monday to Friday
• 1 hour break (split 30 min paid 30 min unpaid)
• Holidays 28 days, increasing to 33 days per annum

Responsibilities

• Support the manufacturing of company products
• Follow established protocols, instructions, and scheduled tasks
• Basic computer knowledge within a manufacturing environment
• Work in a clean room environment
• Use weighing machines to very specific weights
• Work in a cold room (+4°C) and freezer (-20°C) for extended periods
• Perform highly repetitive work; walk, stand, reach and lift up to 25 kg

Qualifications

• Experience with powered industrial trucks (order pickers/forklifts)
• Stable work history
• Ability to work in a clean room environment
• Enthusiastic, can‑do attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Initiative and awareness
• Must be able to follow protocols and procedures
