Senior Buyer – Leeds – £55,000 + Bonus

You will take ownership of the strategic sourcing and procurement of materials, ensuring alignment with engineering specifications, quality standards, and production requirements.

nDutie

• s:Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure competitive cost and valu
• e.Procure materials in accordance with specifications, quality standards, and manufacturing requirement
• s.Collaborate with suppliers to investigate and resolve quality or delivery issue
• s.Identify, evaluate, and develop new and alternative sources for product
• s.Manage supplier relationships to ensure performance expectations related to cost, quality, delivery, and service are me
• t.Support new product introductions (NPI) and engineering changes by coordinating supplier readiness and material transition
• s.Participate in cross-functional initiatives and continuous improvement effort
• s.Analyse demand signals, forecasts, and MRP outputs to proactively manage material availabilit
• y.Maintain awareness of purchasing policies, regulatory requirements, trade considerations, and market condition

s.Required Skills & Experien

• ce:Purchasing experience in an MRP-driven manufacturing environme
• nt.Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, outsourced manufacturing, global sourcing, supplier management and commodity categori
