Youth Worker (Behaviour Mentor) – SEMH School – Bromley – ASAP Start

Key Qualifications

  • Youth Worker required for a specialist all-through SEMH school in the borough of Bromley
  • Provides behavioural, emotional and pastoral support to students
  • Minimum of 1 year’s experience working with young people, ideally in an SEMH or specialist setting
  • Strong behaviour management and de‑escalation skills
  • Team Teach or Physical Intervention training is highly desirable

The Role – Youth Worker (Behaviour Mentor)

Our client, a specialist all-through SEMH school, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Youth Worker to join their team ASAP. The school operates across two sites and supports students with a range of social, emotional and behavioural needs from primary through to secondary age.

As a Youth Worker you will be responsible for providing consistent behavioural, emotional and pastoral support, helping students to engage positively in their learning and daily school life. The role will involve 1:1 support, small group work, in-class assistance and outside‑classroom interventions.

A strong understanding of behaviour management strategies, along with the ability to remain calm, patient and resilient in challenging situations, is essential. Team Teach or Physical Intervention training would be an advantage.
