People Support Officer, Staff Engagement

This role sits within the People Support Team with a primary focus on Staff Engagement in line with the Trust’s People Strategy priorities.
The post holder will support the development and delivery of staff engagement activity and approaches, including coordinating insight activities such as the annual NHS Staff Survey and listening approaches between survey cycles, alongside supporting a range of staff recognition programmes.
You will engage with both clinical and non-clinical staff, planning and facilitating engagement events, and supporting colleagues both individually and through team initiatives. It will also involve data collection, analysis and reporting to generate insights that inform meaningful and sustainable change across the organisation.
The post holder will work collaboratively across the wider People Support Team, contributing to Inclusion and Wellbeing workstreams.
A compassionate, inclusive and respectful approach is key, with an emphasis on listening to colleagues and supporting them through appropriate signposting when needed.
Main duties of the job
- Support the programme of work linked to the Trust’s participation in the annual NHS Staff Survey, alongside wider listening and engagement activity
- Analyse staff feedback and insight, sharing findings contributing to action plans
- Plan, coordinate and deliver staff engagement activity
- Plan and support the delivery of staff recognition activity, including large-scale events and personalised presentations, working with senior leaders, to ensure colleagues feel valued and celebrated
- Facilitate workshops, focus groups and listening events to gather qualitative insight
- Develop engagement resources, toolkits and materials to support managers and teams
- Build strong working relationships with stakeholders
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of engagement initiatives using quantitative and qualitative data
- Support preparation of reports, briefings and dashboards for a range of audiences
- Coordinate and deliver engagement communications
- Maintain accurate records and data to support delivery, reporting and continuous improvement
- Contribute to wider organisational priorities and the People Strategy
- Work collaboratively across the People Support Team, contributing to Inclusion and Wellbeing workstreams
- Provide responsive support and signposting to colleagues
- Keep up to date with developments in staff engagement practice and research, applying evidence-based approaches
This role is based at University Hospital Coventry, with visits to community sites and the Hospital of St Cross.
