Teacher of Piano (Visiting Music Teacher)

Position

Specialist piano teacher and accompanist, starting September 2026.

Responsibilities

• Provide piano instruction to pupils across all levels and abilities.
• Serve as accompanist for ABRSM and Trinity music examinations.
• Provide accompaniment for 11+ and 13+ scholarship auditions and other work during the school year.
• Inspire very academic pupils and adapt approach to work within a large, diverse department.
• Collaborate with the keyboard department to support weekly concerts, chamber music, and orchestral opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as a teacher and performer.
• Ability to play for ABRSM and Trinity exams, scholarship auditions, and general accompaniment work.
• Enthusiasm and flexibility to support a diverse student population.
• Required enhanced DBS check and other appropriate pre‑employment checks.

Hours

Hours: One day of teaching (approximately nine pupils per day) on a freelance basis.
