Rate: 140 – 220 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm

As an SEMH Teacher, you’ll join a team of dedicated professionals focused on delivering high-quality, child-centred education tailored to each learner’s individual needs.

As an SEMH Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver SEMH-focused teaching – Provide high-quality, personalised lessons that support pupils with complex needs.
  • Plan and differentiate learning – Create engaging, therapeutic lessons aligned with EHCP outcomes and developmental milestones.
  • Collaborate with the wider team – Work closely with the SENCO, pastoral staff, therapists, and parents/carers to ensure a consistent, holistic approach.
  • Support emotional and social development – Promote resilience, self-regulation, and positive relationships through a calm, restorative approach.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience in SEMH or behaviour support – Experience in SEMH, PRU, alternative provision, or strong SEN/behaviour experience in mainstream.
  • Calm and resilient practice – Ability to remain consistent, empathetic, and supportive in challenging situations.
  • Passion for inclusive education – Commitment to ensuring every child makes progress, no matter their starting point.
  • Adaptable teaching methods – Skilled in delivering personalised learning that meets diverse emotional and academic needs.

To be eligible, you must:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
  • Provide two child-related references.
