Serco have a great opportunity for a Driver to join the team at RAF Brize Norton. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a full range of driving duties across the site, ensuring safe and efficient transport services in line with operational requirements.
At RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire, Serco has been providing multi-activity and engineering support since 1997. Serco proudly support the RAF and MoD, supplying around 20 different services onsite, from engine and aircraft maintenance, to fuelling and ground control services. RAF Brize Norton is the largest operating base within the Royal Air Force, providing air transport and air‑to‑air refuelling to the RAF fleet, you will contribute enormously to the vital work carried out here. You’ll also be part of the wider team, with 5,800 service personnel, 1,200 contractors and 300 civil servants on site.
What you’ll do as a Driver
- Carry out a full range of driving duties across the site, ensuring compliance with EU and GB driver regulations.
- Complete tachograph or GB Driver logbooks accurately and carry driver cards as required.
- Perform daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
- Ensure compliance with Company Policies and directives relating to Road Transport and Dangerous Goods.
- Drive safely and courteously, securing loads and ensuring passenger safety at all times.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and wear appropriate PPE in line with risk assessments.
- Report any damage, accidents, or incidents promptly and in accordance with company policies.
- Participate in training and development activities as directed.
- Notify management of any safety, compliance, or operational issues that could impact service delivery.
