Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site role for a Ventilation Hygiene Operative based across the UK. The role involves cleaning and maintaining ventilation systems, such as air ducts and kitchen extracts, as well as conducting fire damper testing. Operatives will ensure systems are compliant with established standards, support the creation of healthier indoor environments, and contribute to the prevention of fire risks. Daily responsibilities include traveling to client sites, using specialist equipment, adhering to health and safety protocols, and completing detailed documentation of work performed.
Qualifications
- Experience or ability to effectively use cleaning equipment and tools, particularly for air ducts and ventilation systems
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and safety protocols
- Attention to detail, with skills in record‑keeping and ability to adhere to compliance standards
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with team members and clients
- Physical fitness to perform manual labor and work in a variety of environments and conditions
- Current and valid driver’s license to travel between client sites
- Previous experience in ventilation hygiene or similar industries preferred but not required
- A willingness to learn and complete relevant health and safety certifications if needed
