HGV Class 1 Driver Job Description

Gi Group are looking for experienced class 1 night drivers in Coleshill Birmingham.

Location: Coleshill, Birmingham

Salary: £18.77 per hour (including holiday pay in advance PAYE) (Minimum 10 hours guaranteed)

Shifts: Monday – Friday nights

HGV Class 1 Driver required for a position with our well-known Haulage client delivering palletised goods. The company has operated in the UK for many years, becoming highly recognised and respected in the transport sector.

Responsibilities

• 3–8 drops per day of pallets.
• Use of PDA machine required.
• Handball may be required from time to time.
• National and local deliveries expected.
• Night shifts available.

Requirements and Skills

• Must be in possession of HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, Driver CPC & DIGI cards.
• Strong work ethic, reliable, flexible, upbeat, self‑motivated and resilient.
• Minimum of six months Class 1 experience.
• Able to work on a tight schedule while maintaining high safety standards.
• Good geographical knowledge.
