Job Description:

Design& Technology Teacher3 days a week, Fixed-Terminitially until the end of August 2027 – to start ASAP

Based at St David’s Centre (Hereford)

Salary: M1 to M6 (£19,750 to £27,2110.6) – Early career teachers welcome

Unqualified Teachers SP1 to SP6(£13,560 to £21,155 0.6)

Roleresponsibilities include:

  • Delivering engaging, practical lessons withinour fully equipped workshop.
  • Preparing lesson materials and providingresources to support learning.
  • Providing feedback on student work,evidencing progress and achievement.
  • Embedding literacy, numeracy and coreemployability skills within your teaching.
  • Maintaining accurate records to track/reporton student progress.
  • Supervising learners, ensuring compliancewith health and safety and safeguarding procedures.
  • Supporting students pastorally, promotingwelfare, motivation and engagement.
  • Participating in the wider school activitiesaligned with HPRS’s ethos and values.

  • Improve pupil’s confidence, motivation,social skills and relationships, enabling them to face new and challengingsituations.
  • Help pupils overcome barriers to learning.
  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner.
  • Work on your own initiative.
  • Be a good timekeeper, flexible, accommodatingand a team player.
  • Good sense of humour.

The ideal candidate will be appropriatelyqualified and show evidence of professional development relevant to DesignTechnology (carpentry, brickwork, plumbing, electrical installation, etc.).
