Role Overview
You will deliver engaging and practical Design Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities extending into KS5 depending on experience and school requirements. Assignments range from flexible short‑term cover to full teaching responsibilities including planning, marking and assessment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and inspiring DT lessons
- Teach practical and theory‑based Design Technology subjects
- Encourage creativity, innovation and problem‑solving skills
- Maintain excellent classroom behaviour and workshop safety
- Plan and prepare lessons for long‑term assignments
- Assess and monitor pupil progress
- Support students of varying abilities and learning needs
Ideal Candidate
- QTS or relevant UK teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Design Technology in UK secondary schools
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Passion for practical learning and student achievement
- Ability to adapt quickly to new school environments
- A flexible and professional approach
