Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Design Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Support students in developing practical, creative, and technical skills
• Prepare pupils for coursework and GCSE assessments where applicable
• Maintain a safe and organised workshop/classroom environment
• Encourage creativity, problem‑solving, and independent learning
• Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development

Qualifications

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Experience teaching Design Technology in a UK secondary school
• Strong subject knowledge across DT disciplines
• Ability to engage and motivate students through practical learning
• Good classroom management and organisational skills
• A commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
