Male Home Carer / Domiciliary Care Assistant

Tezlom is currently recruiting Male Home Care Workers / Domiciliary Care Assistants to join our dedicated homecare team in the Hayes area. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives by providing high‑quality, person‑centred care in the community.

We are particularly interested in candidates who are experienced; Punjabi/Hindi speakers preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing personal care including washing, dressing, toileting and feeding
  • Supporting Service Users with daily living activities and personal hygiene
  • Promoting dignity, privacy and independence at all times
  • Assisting individuals with limited mobility using appropriate equipment
  • Supporting Service Users with physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual needs
  • Monitoring and supporting individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s, palliative or long‑term health conditions
  • Administering or supporting medication in line with care plans and policies
  • Completing accurate care records, daily notes and Medication Administration Records (MAR sheets)
  • Encouraging social activities, hobbies and community engagement
  • Preparing meals, snacks and supporting with eating and drinking where required
  • Carrying out light household tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment
  • Cleaning and maintaining equipment such as commodes, hearing aids and glasses
  • Escorting Service Users to appointments, outings or social visits
  • Ensuring the security of Service Users’ homes at the start and end of each visit
  • Maintaining confidentiality and integrity in all aspects of care and support

Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Experience working in healthcare for at least 3 months
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)

Desirable (Not Essential)

  • Care Certificate
  • Previous experience in a care or community setting
  • Knowledge of Punjabi or Hindi language
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
