At Avery Healthcare we support staff who care for residents. We’re looking for a warm, enthusiastic Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator for Rowan Court Care Home in Newcastle‑under‑Lyme. The role involves creating activities that promote physical, psychological, and social well‑being and supports residents’ privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights and fulfilment.
Job Description
Work as part of a close‑knit team that values respect, compassion and a commitment to exceptional care. You’ll engage residents in a range of activities, plan and submit a monthly activity and wellbeing plan, organise events and outings, and maintain a safe living and working environment.
Responsibilities
- Identify residents’ life history, needs and preferences by listening to them and their families.
- Prepare and submit a monthly activity and wellbeing plan and a weekly overview to the Home Manager.
- Arrange activities, events and outings, encouraging the involvement of staff, relatives and visitors.
- Maintain a safe living and working environment and contribute to the positive image of the home.
Qualifications
- Experience working with older people in a residential nursing or dementia setting.
- Experience organising activities and events.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- A positive attitude towards older people and a commitment to providing stimulating, quality activities and social events.

- ADBS disclosure check – the cost will be covered by Avery Healthcare.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
Compensation
£13 an hour, paid hourly. Contract: Permanent, Full‑time.
