Clerk Typist, Band 2 – 37.5 hours per week (Monday‑Friday)

This role is part of the Rheumatology service within the ICC & Community Collaborative. The service delivers locally‑based, patient‑focused care, and the Clerk Typist will support the clinical team through efficient administrative work.
Job responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients, maintaining a professional, patient‑focused approach.
- Provide high‑standard administration support to the clinical team, liaising with other departments, NHS Trusts, external agencies and patients.
- Type professional letters and documents for all clinical staff and manage routine documentation.
- Support the efficient day‑to‑day delivery of the service, handling a busy workload with calm and effective prioritisation.
Qualifications
- GCSE in English language or equivalent.
- RSA Level 2 word‑processing or equivalent, or NVQ Level 2 in Administration.
Knowledge and Experience
- Proficient computer use.
- Experience in clerical or office‑based work.
Skills and Aptitudes
- Teamwork and supportive communication.
- Initiative and ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines.
- Maintain high standards of work.
- Efficient use of IT systems.
