Job Overview
Our client is looking for a part‑time Facilities Assistant to support the day‑to‑day running of their premises in Mablethorpe. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining clean, safe and well‑organised environments and is comfortable carrying out practical, hands‑on tasks. The position is normally worked as 2.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday, with working hours agreed (choices: 6:00‑9:00 or 3:00‑6:00).
Responsibilities
- Support the day‑to‑day operations of a local Library, ensuring the building is safe, clean and well maintained for staff and visitors.
- Assist with cleaning and caretaking duties of the Library.
- Carry out scheduled checks, including weekly fire alarm tests, monthly emergency lighting checks and routine health and safety inspections.
- Provide occasional cover at a nearby Business Centre if required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a facilities, maintenance, or caretaking role is desirable.
- Able to carry out practical tasks and solve problems.
- Able to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Works well with others and contributes to a positive team environment.
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures, or willingness to learn.
