Role: Service Coordinator

Location: Hybrid / London – Tower Hamlets, Newham, Barking, Dagenham, Lewisham and Lambeth

Contract: Fixed Term – 12 months, Full Time 37 hours a week (flexibility required, including travel across delivery locations)

Salary: Up to £36,700.00 per annum (according to experience and qualifications) plus London Allowance £3,333.00

About the Role

The Service Coordinator will lead and deliver a portfolio of impactful employability and early-intervention programmes supporting children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds across London.

You will oversee programme delivery, manage staff, and ensure high-quality support that enables young people to build confidence, develop skills, and progress into education, training, and employment.

Working collaboratively with partners, funders and stakeholders, you will ensure programmes are delivered to a high standard, achieve outcomes and continuously improve.

How you’ll help to create brighter futures

  • Lead and manage a team of practitioners to deliver engaging, high‑quality programmes to young people.
  • Oversee service delivery, ensuring positive outcomes for children and young people based on their assessed needs.
  • Provide direct support and intervention where required, including mentoring.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with schools, employers, funders (e.g. corporate partners) and referral agencies.
  • Coordinate programme planning, resourcing and delivery.
  • Lead and facilitate multi‑agency meetings, reviews and stakeholder engagement activity.
  • Monitor performance, track outcomes and produce reports to inform service improvement.
  • Support evaluation and continuous improvement.
  • Manage delegated budgets and ensure value for money using organisational procedures.
  • Ensure safeguarding, health and safety and quality standards are consistently met.

Let’s talk about you, ideally you will have

  • Significant experience working with children and young people (ideally 15–25 years), particularly those facing barriers to progression.
  • Experience of leading or coordinating services, programmes or teams in a youth, education or employability setting.
  • Strong understanding of youth development, safeguarding and employability pathways.
  • Experience of multi‑agency working and relationship building.
  • Ability to manage performance, monitor outcomes and produce clear reports.
  • Confident in staff supervision, coaching and team development.
  • Qualification(s) in youth work, social care, careers guidance or a related field.
