Obstetric Ultrasound Administration Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join our Obstetric Ultrasound team. Working directly with our sonographers and midwives, the post holder will play a vital role in helping to provide the best possible outcomes for women and their families.
Based at the William Harvey Hospital, the team provides a 7‑day service booking ultrasounds and provides administrative support to the department. The post holder will be required to work shifts to ensure we have administrative cover from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday.
PLEASE NOTE – WE CANNOT OFFER VISA SPONSORSHIP FOR THIS ROLE. If you hold a Graduate/Post Study work visa, you will only be able to work this role fixed term until the expiry date of your visa.
Main duties of the job
To work as part of an appointment team making all patient appointments and dealing with any associated enquiries whilst ensuring all booked appointments are confirmed within the required timeframe.
To deal with general telephone enquiries, take messages accurately, give information and advice (non-medical) to patients and other staff involved in a manner responsive to customer needs and in accordance with trust procedures.
To ensure accurate data entry on the radiology Information system (Soliton).
Action emails from multiple mailboxes.
To be aware of the confidential nature of work and maintain strictest confidence when dealing with patients, staff and other health service business information in accordance with both Trust Policy and the Data Protection Act.

Experience

Qualifications
- Education to GCSE or equivalent. Maths and English grades A-C essential.
