Support Worker – Bridgend County

£14.50-£15.25 p/h

Are you compassionate, reliable, and ready to make a real difference in people’s lives? Our growing care agency is looking for dedicated Support Workers to join our team in Bridgend County!

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care and household tasks, using a person-centred approach to ensure their needs are met
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, helping to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation
• Help clients maintain their independence and well-being by supporting them in community activities and appointments
• Safely assist clients with mobility using Moving & Handling techniques, ensuring their safety and dignity at all times
• Support individuals who may display challenging behaviour, responding calmly and effectively to ensure a safe and positive environment
• Support clients in achieving their goals and aspirations, promoting a sense of purpose and fulfilment

Requirements

• At least 6 months UK based experience in care and support work
• Driving license and access to vehicle – preferred
• A caring, patient, and reliable attitude
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proven experience working with individuals with challenging behaviour
• Ability to manage situations confidently using de-escalation techniques
• Understanding of positive behaviour support and person-centred care
