About the role
We are seeking a hands‑on Machine Operative to join our growing manufacturing business in Leeds. The role involves operating a range of woodworking machinery, ensuring quality and safety, and supporting the production team.
Key responsibilities
- Operate woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
- Work with saws, presses, belt sanders, and edgebanders.
- Check product quality and maintain high standards.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
- Support the wider production team as required.
Qualifications & experience
- Previous machine operative experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently.
- Previous manufacturing or industrial machine operative experience is essential.
- Joinery or woodworking knowledge is advantageous.
- Good attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Eagerness to learn new machinery and processes.
Working hours
Monday to Thursday 8:00 am–4:30 pm; Friday 8:00 am–3:30 pm. Joinery or woodworking experience is beneficial but not essential.
