Mill Setter/Operator

The Best Connection are recruiting for a Mill Setter/Operator on behalf of our prestigious client based in West Bromwich

YOU WILL BE FOLLOWING A ROTATING SHIFT PATTERN!

Hours of work:

• Monday-Thursday 06:00-14:00 & Friday 06:00-13:00
• Monday-Thursday 14:00-22:00 & Friday 13:00-20:00
• Sunday-Wednesday 22:00-06:00 & Friday 22:00-17:00

Pay rate: £15.86 per hour (shift allowance is included).

Job duties:

• Set and operate the roll forming equipment, presses and ancillary equipment
• Produce parts at the correct rate and report any issues with achieving that rate
• Take responsibility for the quality of the parts produced
• Keep production and quality related records up to date
• Ensure good levels of 5S are maintained in the area
• Be involved in continuous improvement processes driving through improvements in all aspects of the role
• Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Candidate requirements:

• A good knowledge of Roll forming
• Able to work as part of a team and as an individual
• Motivation to beat targets safely and required quality standards
• Ability to comply with and promote company’s ATIRE and SQDC values
• Wealth of experience in setting and operating a cold roll forming mill
