Salary: GBP28000 – GBP31000 per annum + Depending on Experience

Wire Assembly Operative

• Bishop’s Stortford
• Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week
• Hands‑onwire/cable assembly roleusing hand tools and clear work instructions
• Stable, long‑term opportunity in a supportive production team

The role (key responsibilities):

• Manufacture of complete wiring looms
• Population and wiring of Electrical and Control cabinets
• Cutting, stripping and preparing wire/cable to specification
• Crimping, terminating and assembling wired components (bench work/hand tools)
• Working from work instructions, drawings and build sheets
• Completing visual checks and basic measurements to ensure quality standards
• Recording production/quality information and reporting any issues or defects
• Keeping the work area clean, organised and compliant with site procedures

What we’re looking for:

• Experience in wiring looms, cable assembly, electrical assembly or similar manufacturing work
• Confident using hand tools (e.g., cutters, strippers, crimp tools)
• Strong attention to detail and good manual dexterity
• Ability to follow written instructions and work to deadlines/targets
• Reliable, proactive and team‑focused approach
