Production Utility Operator – Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing

Newbridge, South Wales

Permanent Full Time – Mon to Thurs

Salary: £28,000 (per annum)

Hours: 6:45am until 5pm Monday to Thursday

Main Purpose of Role

Role out the direction/plan issued by the Cell Leader or Supervisor.

• Clean and tidy work cells.
• A highly motivated and well trained team within each cell.

Reporting Structure

Production Coordinator – Production Cell Leader – Production Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Organise daily work for operators.
• Understand cell output requirements on a daily, weekly and monthly basis in line with the production plan for that cell.
• Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of the cell.
• Assist with the job training of operators within the cells.
• Ability to undertake certain Syspro bookings.
• Cover for cell leader (short term) e.g. Holiday periods.
• Capable of assessing and recording spoilage, in order to reduce costs.
• Ensure that all company operating values and compliance procedures are adhered to at all times, including quality management, health and safety, legal stipulation, environmental policies and general duty of care.
• Any other duties deemed necessary.

Person Specification – Essential requirements

• Basic numeracy and literacy
• Basic computer skills
• 2 years’ experience within manufacturing
