Cleaner – HMP Deerbolt (Barnard Castle) DL12 9BG

Salary: £27,426 per yearHours: 39 hours per weekShifts: Monday–Friday, 07:30–16:00 (early finish 15:00 Friday)Contract: Permanent

We’re looking for a reliable Cleaner to join the on‑site facilities team at HMP Deerbolt. This is a stable, long‑term role on a Ministry of Justice contract with predictable weekday hours.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning prison buildings to required standards
• Using cleaning equipment and chemicals safely
• Managing basic stock and consumables
• Working as part of a supportive on‑site team

Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual and a good team player
• Cleaning experience (large sites/buildings preferred)
• Comfortable working in a prison environment
• Prison security clearance and Standard DBS required – we’ll support you through this.
