Commutable from: Lichfield, Sutton Coldfield, Nuneaton, Atherstone, Burton upon Trent, Birmingham

Salary: Up to £21.66 per hour + Shift Allowance

OTE: Approx. £50,056.50 per annum

Hours

Rotating Shifts – Morning Shift (Monday to Thursday: 05:30 – 14:00, Friday: 05:30 – 11:00) and Afternoon Shift (Monday to Thursday: 13:30 – 22:00, Friday: 10:30 – 16:00)

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Gear Grinder to join a highly skilled machining team working on complex, high‑precision components.

You will be responsible for setting, operating and grinding precision gear components to tight tolerances, ensuring all work meets exacting engineering and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting and operating CNC gear grinding machines
  • Producing high‑precision gear components to engineering specifications
  • Understanding and working with complex geometry and technical drawings
  • Ensuring components meet tight tolerance and surface finish requirements
  • Carrying out in‑process inspection and quality checks
  • Adjusting machine settings to maintain accuracy and consistency
  • Working closely with engineering and quality teams
  • Supporting continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience as a CNC Gear Grinder within a precision engineering environment.

  • Strong experience operating CNC gear grinding machines
  • Good understanding of geometry and technical drawing interpretation
  • Experience working to tight tolerances in a high‑precision environment
  • Strong attention to detail and quality focus
  • Ability to work across rotating shift patterns
  • Experience within motorsport, Formula 1 or automotive environments would be advantageous
