What you’ll do
You will be part of a Waste Water Operatives team responsible for protecting Scotland’s environment by ensuring waste is managed responsibly and constantly seeking ways to improve processes.
- Monitor and maintain treatment processes on wastewater, from sedimentation to filtration.
- Record key process numbers and file routine reports.
- Take samples, analyse test results and recommend improvements to treatment processes.
- Oversee regular maintenance to keep the site running smoothly.
What you’ll bring
You will have the confidence to work independently, good communication skills, and be comfortable with computer systems.
- Valid driving licence.
- Attention to detail and a risk‑free approach to recordings and health and safety.
- Ability to spot changes and trends and to solve problems.
- Willingness to work a standby rota for out‑of‑hours duties.

The not‑so‑small print
This role is Grade 4 with a starting salary of £31,640, progressing up to £36,460 based on performance. Applications will be accepted until midnight on 12 June 2026.
