Job Title: Microsoft Systems Engineer

Location: Tamworth

We’re looking for a Network Infrastructure Engineer to join a technology-driven business and play a key role in managing and improving their IT infrastructure. This is a hands‑on role covering Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, and Hyper‑V, with responsibility for both day-to-day operations and long-term projects.

The Role

• Administer and support Windows Server, AD, Hyper‑V, and Azure environments
• Monitor and optimise network/server performance, security, and backups
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across Microsoft and Linux systems
• Provide 3rd line support and guidance to the wider IT team
• Liaise with vendors and implement system upgrades and improvements

Key Skills

• Real‑world, hands‑on use of Intune, not just device enrolment
• Security experience with Defender for Endpoint and/or Purview DLP, retention, or labelling
• Ability to troubleshoot in hybrid cloud environments and respond to modern endpoint issues
• Good understanding of IT security protocols and compliance
• Scripting/automation skills (PowerShell desirable)
