Teacher of Creative Media (Part‑time)
Leeds City College is recruiting a Teacher of Creative Media to join the Digital Arts department. The role is part‑time, 29.6 hours per week, with a pro‑rated salary of £25,532, progressing to £28,729 per annum.
Role Overview
Teach Film and Television and/or Journalism at Levels 2 and 3, delivering a curriculum that includes print and digital journalism, filming techniques and cinematography, sound production and design, video editing, media and audience theory.
Qualifications
- Proficient in at least one of the following areas: print and digital journalism, filming techniques and cinematography, sound production and design, video editing, media and audience theory.
- Experience teaching at Levels 2 and 3 or equivalent.
- Strong teamwork and ability to work within a supportive departmental culture.
Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess lessons for students aged 16‑19 at Levels 2 and 3.
- Develop and assess learning outcomes aligned to curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Provide mentorship and support to enhance students’ employability skills.
- Collaborate with fellow staff to maintain high teaching standards.
