Key responsibilities
- Conduct on-site sampling and testing of construction materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt.
- Prepare and maintain vehicles, tools, and testing equipment before and after site visits.
- Accurately complete test sheets and input data using tablets or digital systems.
- Liaise with senior staff regarding work schedules, sample requirements, and testing procedures.
- Follow all quality control and health & safety procedures on site.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and uphold company standards at all times.
Person specification
- Proven field-based experience in construction materials testing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self‑motivated, proactive, and well‑organised.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Ability to manually handle samples (up to 20 kg).
Desirable
- Experience in a UKAS‑accredited testing environment.
- Knowledge of relevant testing standards and procedures.
- CSCS card.
