Temporary Workshop Technician – Bexleyheath, Greater London

Questech Automotive Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of one of Europe’s biggest automotive groups for a Temporary Workshop Technician at the Bexleyheath site. The role offers temporary work hours from Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week, with an umbrella rate of up to £38 per hour or PAYE at £25 per hour.

You will be apprentice trained to Level 3 or equivalent and have experience working with a variety of LGV or HGV vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Electrical, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis, repair and installation of parts
• Setting and operating machine tools and equipment onsite
• Support workshop team members, including apprentice technicians, as required
• Accurately record time to complete job cards and associated details in accordance with DVSA
• Use of skills and performance of other work within normal grade/job skills as required by the Workshop Supervisor to maximise workshop efficiency

Skills & Experience

• Level 3 Motor Vehicle Mechanics City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent
• Previous experience as a qualified fitter, mechanic or engineer
• Possession of own tools
