Job Description

In the heart of Hertfordshire, Bushey, an “Outstanding” secondary school is looking for an ambitious Teacher of Chemistry / Science Teacher to add value to an expanding Science Department. The role involves inspiring and motivating pupils, working alongside a team of Science Teachers, and taking on optional teaching leadership responsibilities.

• Inspiring and motivating pupils through engaging chemistry and science lessons
• Collaborating with a team of Science Teachers on curriculum and delivery
• Opportunity to take on Teaching Leadership Roles (TLR) such as KS3 Coordinator and pastoral responsibilities
• Enrolment in bespoke entry‑level training for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with 1:1 mentoring and NQT induction

Person Specification

• UK QTS or in the process of gaining QTS
• Strong academic background (Degree, A Levels and GCSEs)
• Achievement of all 8 Teaching Standards to a Good or Outstanding level
• Positive working engagement as part of a large team of Science Teachers
• Openness to professional development and feedback
