SEN Learning Support Assistant

Location: Cheltenham area

Salary: £14.24 per hour (paid weekly via PAYE)

Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Long-term opportunities

Vision for Education is working in partnership with a specialist SEND provision in the Cheltenham area to recruit a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant. This role is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands‑on experience supporting children and young people with complex additional needs in a structured, nurturing environment.

We are looking for a committed SEN Learning Support Assistant who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and helping them to access learning, build confidence, and develop independence.

About the Role – SEN Learning Support Assistant

As a SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of needs including autism, SEMH, communication difficulties, and learning disabilities.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support
  • Assist pupils with emotional regulation and communication
  • Support engagement in learning activities
  • Help build positive routines and independence
  • Work closely with teaching and pastoral staff

  • Comes from a background in care, youth work, coaching, or support work (desirable but not essential)
