Classroom Support Assistant
Location: Secondary School
Contract: Term time only
Start Date: ASAP
A secondary school is looking for a Classroom Support Assistant to help students access learning and stay engaged in lessons. This role is suited to someone who is patient, enthusiastic, and happy to work across different subject areas.
You will support the class teacher by helping students remain focused, explaining tasks where needed, and offering targeted support to those who need it most.
Requirements
- Experience supporting students in a classroom or school environment.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Ability to adapt support to different learners and subjects.
- Positive, patient, and encouraging approach.
- Enhanced DBS and references.
Key responsibilities
- Provide in-class support across subjects.
- Help students understand instructions and tasks.
- Support positive behaviour and engagement.
- Adapt support to suit individual student needs.
