Senior Science Technician

Salary: £20,472.58 – £21,506.38 per annum depending on qualifications and experience

Job Details

• Permanent, 38 weeks term time only
• Monday – Friday (28.8 hours per week)
• Closing Date – 2nd June @ Midday

Responsibilities

• Ensure and coordinate safe practice within the teaching labs
• Order all chemicals and apparatus, meeting representatives of the suppliers and telephone suppliers
• Assist lecturers by preparing equipment for lectures and ensuring such equipment is cleared away
• Undertake H&S duties and responsibilities as the science COSHH representative, working closely with the COSHH representative for the College
• Work collaboratively with academic teams to ensure courses run smoothly and effectively

Qualifications & Experience

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at grade C or above
• Past experience of working in a laboratory, either in an industrial environment or in education
