The Role
We’re recruiting for a Class 1 part-time Shunter Driver to join our team at our client’s site in Derby (DE1 9TA). Your main responsibility will be moving stock to the relevant departments across the operation in line with business requirements.
Working pattern: every Thursday and Friday, 15:00 to midnight with paid breaks.
Salary: £15,897.66 plus an allowance of £1,480 per annum.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive a TUG tractor unit and manoeuvre trailers throughout the site to ensure logistics operations are smooth and efficient.
- Use a handheld device to receive instructions for your workload.
- Effectively communicate with the transport office.
- Provide excellent customer service to our client.
Qualifications
- LGV Class 1 licence with a minimum of 12 months commercial driving experience.
- No more than 6 points on licence.
- CPC Driver qualification.
- Good working knowledge of working time regulations.
- Flexibility around working hours to fit business needs.
