Post: Level 1 Minibus Driver
Salary: Grade 1 £24,796 FTE (pro rata)
Allowances: £1,722 SEN allowance FTE (pro rata)
Hours of work: Various part time hours available, morning shift 07:00 – 09:30 / afternoon shift 15:45 – 18:15 (with flexibility to support operational needs). Term Time Only (39 weeks)

Qualifications
- A full clean driving licence with D1 entitlement
- Ability to follow designated routes to safely transport students with special educational needs to and from college
- Strong communication skills and a calm, patient approach
- Ability to conduct daily safety checks and adhere to legal and college safety requirements
- Effective problem solving skills
- Flexible and positive attitude
- Fluent English speaking is an essential requirement (Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016)
- Required enhanced DBS and potentially Childcare Disqualification checks, medical fitness, identity and right to work checks, and two suitable references
Legal and Screening Requirements
This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English is an essential requirement of the role.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013, 2020 and 2023, meaning that spent convictions and cautions that are protected do not need to be disclosed to the employer.
Successful candidates will be subject to all necessary pre‑employment checks, including an enhanced DBS, Childcare Disqualification (where applicable), qualifications, medical fitness, identity and right to work assessments; two suitable references are required.
