Salary: £13.30 – £14.30 per hour depending on experienceContract type: PermanentHours: 18 hours per week (3 × 6‑hour shifts), including weekends and occasional evenings.
We are a Bupa Care home dedicated to delivering person‑centred care. An activity coordinator creates a vibrant, joy‑filled environment, arranging arts & crafts, baking, book clubs, pub quizzes, chair‑based exercise, garden parties, meditation and wellbeing classes to boost residents’ spirits.
You’ll help us make health happen by
- Running morning and afternoon activity sessions.
- Producing and updating an activity planner for the home, working to a set activities budget.
- Organising birthday surprises for our residents.
- Liaising with external companies and performers from the local community to organise days out and events at the home.
- Organising one‑to‑ones with our residents; this might involve reminiscing tools, puzzles, reading or just a cup of tea and chat.
- Supporting the home with social media channels as required.
Key skills / qualifications needed for this role
Creative thinker with a lot of ideas; able to manage budgets and maintain paperwork, prioritise tasks. Strong interest in caring for others, sense of humour, enthusiasm for improving lives. Must have skills in arts and crafts.
