A welcoming primary school in Gosport is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their Autism Resource Provision. The school has built an excellent reputation for providing tailored support to pupils with additional needs whilst maintaining a nurturing and inclusive environment.
You’ll be working with children who require additional support with communication, emotional regulation, social interaction and classroom engagement.
The role
- Supporting pupils within the school’s Autism Resource Base
- Delivering targeted interventions and structured support
- Assisting children in accessing learning opportunities
- Supporting emotional wellbeing and confidence
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and parents
- Helping pupils transition successfully between classroom and specialist provision
Candidate profile
- Has experience supporting children or young people
- Has an interest in Autism, SEND or child development
- Is patient, consistent and positive
- Understands the importance of building trust and routine
- Can work effectively as part of a wider support team
