Washing, Shipping & Laboratory Assistant – £24,500 to £24,800 p.a – Reading

The Role

Are you familiar with basic laboratory procedures and protocols? Are you adept at handling laboratory glassware and equipment with precision and care? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining and supporting our washing activities within the laboratory as well as additional shipping and packaging activities.

This person will also perform basic level laboratory activities in support of our operations. Your commitment to excellence will help us meet our goals and ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Washing up of laboratory glassware and equipment (e.g. large vessels, beakers, metal stirrers)
  • Preparation of glassware and equipment for oven drying
  • Transfer of glassware and equipment to workstations
  • Storage of glassware and equipment at appropriate areas
  • Sterilisation of bottles for products
  • Labelling of bottles
  • Making of boxes and preparation for shipments
  • Support of routine maintenance activities
