We have an exciting opportunity for a Ward Clerk to join our Orthopaedics ward at The Princess Grace Hospital. In this pivotal role, you’ll provide a high-quality reception and administrative service, helping the ward run smoothly and ensuring an exceptional experience for patients, visitors, and staff alike.

Ward Clerk – Orthopaedics

Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Monday – Friday, 0800-1600

Permanent position

What You’ll Do

  • Provide a warm and professional welcome to patients, visitors, consultants, and colleagues, responding to enquiries to the highest standards
  • Manage telephone enquiries efficiently, directing calls as appropriate
  • Coordinate bookings for consultant appointments and clinical investigations
  • Register patients and accurately input charges into the system
  • Offer flexibility by supporting other units when required
  • Provide administrative support to the Unit Manager and Sisters
  • Organise meetings, including preparing agendas and taking accurate minutes

What You’ll Bring

  • Previous admin experience within a healthcare setting is essential
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer literate
