Role Summary
We are seeking motivated, resilient individuals to join us at our Supported Living service in the Kensington area of Liverpool.
As a Support Worker you will partner with the people we support to develop a trusting and respectful relationship, while promoting and encouraging independence. You will provide quality, personalised support to meet individual health and well‑being needs, which may involve aspects of personal care.
The role also involves promoting community engagement, enabling people with autism to participate in a variety of activities that help them lead a fulfilled life. The support we deliver is flexible and unique to each individual, building on their strengths and needs and driven by their goals.
Responsibilities
Provide person‑centred support, promoting independence and well‑being.
Encourage and facilitate community engagement and participation in local activities.
Work in partnership with people and professionals to meet health and safety requirements.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with relevant legal and organisational requirements.
This position is subject to an enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS). The cost of which will be met by Autism Initiatives.
Qualifications
Experience is not essential, but a genuine passion for making a difference to the lives of people with autism and a positive attitude are key to success in this role.
