Press Brake Operator / Sheet Metal Operator
We are recruiting for a skilled Press Brake Operator / Sheet Metal Operator to join a well-established manufacturing business in Banbury. This role is ideal for someone with previous press brake experience and a strong background working with sheet metal.
This is a long-term opportunity for an experienced operator who can work from engineering drawings, maintain quality standards, and support production targets within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The Role
As a Press Brake Operator / Sheet Metal Operator, you will be responsible for setting and operating press brake machinery to produce high-quality metal components to precise engineering specifications.
You will work closely with the production team to ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting and operating press brake machinery
- Working with sheet metal components
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Producing parts to precise measurements and specifications
- Carrying out quality inspections on finished products
- Performing basic machine checks and adjustments
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Supporting production deadlines and team targets
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience as a Press Brake Operator / Sheet Metal Operator
- Experience working with sheet metal within engineering or manufacturing
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable and proactive attitude
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and metal fabrication
Location: Banbury
Salary: £30,000 to £34,000 depending on experience
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 7:00am to 4:30pm
